This is about celebration of World Menstrual Day, uniquely organized by Swati Bedekar Vatsalya Foundation, Baroda. She is the brain behind Sakhi Sanitary napkins which are hygenic but extremely low cost, manufactured by economically backward ladies. The idea of the "Hygiene Bucket Challenge" event is to promote the importance of Menstrual Hygiene amongst girls including economically backward ladies. Here Hygiene Bucket Challenge means donation of a Hygiene Bucket(One year inventory of Sakhi Sanitary Pads) to a girl/lady explaining to her importance of Menstrual Hygiene. Sakhi Sanitary Napkins cost a just a couple of hundreds rupees, which can be used by an underprivileged girl/lady for a year..
